Q:Do you sell the program as a whole or by the individual module?
A:Successware is offered as an entire “business management system.” So as your needs as a business grow, you simply begin to use those additional modules at no extra cost.
Q:Do I install Successware at my office or is it “in the cloud”?
A:The answer is up to you. You can choose to install Successware on your own server (your server and workstations must meet our minimum hardware requirements) or you can operate Successware as an internet “cloud-based” application.

Q:How long does it take to get started?
A:There’s no exact amount of time. Some companies are up and running within a week of initial training. Others can take much longer. Setting up Successware is comprised of two main tasks: setting up your “codes” and setting up your “opening balances”.
Setting up your “codes” typically consist of things specific to your company, such as: who are your employees, what job types do they each do, what hours do they work, what cities and zip codes do you service, what departments you want setup, what lead sources do your customers come from, etc.
Setting up your “opening balances” consists of your open Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, and starting General Ledger balances. This isn’t difficult to do and it won’t take weeks to do, but it’s going to take longer than an hour or two. To make the process as simple as possible, we’ve developed a “Quick-Start” module in Successware that takes you by the hand through the whole process. In addition, our support staff is eager to help you with any questions you may have!
Q:Can you convert my data from my current software to Successware?
A:Data conversion is a very important part of getting started with Successware and can help you save hundreds of hours. There are 2 important steps to a successful data conversion: Getting the data out of your current software system (the export) and bringing the data into Successware (the import). Once you provide us with the data (exporting), we will provide the second step (importing). After you’ve registered with us, a member of our data conversion team will reach out to help you through the process. Typically, we can import your customer list, service history, equipment, flat rate pricing, and inventory items if they can be exported from your existing software.
Q:Will this work for both service and new construction?
A:Yes. We have comprehensive job costing capabilities – including a full Project Management module – at NO extra cost!
Q:Do you Process Payroll?
A:Successware will fully accumulate, calculate and post gross earning, but we do not maintain tax tables necessary to generate your employee’s net pay. To accommodate this, we offer direct import/export features with both ADP as well as QuickBooks and have customers who use numerous other payroll services with Successware.
Q:Can I Import my current pricebook into Successware?
A:You can! While we offer a pricebook tool in Successware which allows you to build your own flat rate pricebook, we also offer imports of most major third-party pricebooks in your industry, including Profit Rhino, NSPG, Profit Strategy, the New Flat Rate, and Callahan Roach.
Q:How do I learn how to use the program?
A:Successware has developed the most comprehensive training program in the industry today. The cost of the class is part of your initial investment and allows two representatives from your company to attend.
Q:Who should I send to training?
A:Training is intended to instruct you on getting set up and running as quickly as possible. It is recommended that your attendees are involved in daily accounting functions (AR, AP, Bank Account processing) and customer/job processing. All day-to-day functionality of the software will be covered with the exception of Inventory Management and Payroll Processing. Both of these topics are available in an overview format via live web-based training which is available to you at no additional cost.
We also have web-based training modules available for members of your staff to aid in learning Successware or to refresh their skills.
Q:Do you offer any type of ongoing training?
A:Yes. Our most popular option is our web-based training classes. Using teleconferencing along with an Internet-based browser, your staff can learn from the comfort and convenience of your office!
Each month we have different classes covering various topics. Classes generally run 90 minutes each. Some topics are two-session classes – one 90 minute class on the first day and a second 90-minute class the next day. We also offer personal one-on-one telephone training as well as specialized training.
Q:Can someone come to our office and help us set up Successware?
A:Do you want someone to hold your hand to make sure you’re doing everything correctly and quickly? Then you want to take advantage of our “On-Site Implementation” service. After you attend our initial training course, we can send a member of our support team to your business location. That person's only job is to get you up and running!
Q:How often can I call for support?
A:As often as you need! Unlimited Support is included in your monthly license fee. Our support team is available to you Monday- Friday from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM Eastern Time.
Q:How often are updates released?
A:We’re constantly working on the program. Sometimes we’ll have minor enhancements – little tweaks to make things simpler for you. Other times we’ll have brand new features. This could be a new report or it could be a brand-new module. Getting the updates is a snap because they’re available online! We’ll send out emails when there are major updates available and, if you use the hosted version of Successware, you’ll be updated automatically. Best of all, every update, enhancement, and new module is included in your monthly licensing fee.
Q:Does Successware support technicians when they are in the field?

A:There is a new add-on for Successware Mobile that was pushed to your Successware installation (LAN or Hosted) to enable the connection between the Successware platform and SW Mobile.
Q:Does Successware Mobile interface with other software programs?
A:Successware Mobile was designed to integrate with the Successware platform, our flagship Business Management software for the Home Services Industry. While our platform offers many external integrations (visit our Integration Partners page to learn more), Successware Mobile only integrates with the platform.
Q:Does Successware Mobile need a constant internet connection?
A:Once a technician loads a job to their device, it will stay active regardless of connectivity. As a result, technicians remain up and running if they lose connection. A loss of connection can be common when working in basements or in houses with metal roofs. However, with Successware Mobile, your technicians will not experience downtime.
Q:Will Successware Mobile integrate with our pricebook?
A:Successware Mobile easily integrates with most pricebooks, agreements, call types, job types, and much more. Successware Mobile utilizes the settings in your existing Successware installation for a seamless experience.
Q:Does Successware Mobile integrate with the Successware platform accounting system?
A:Our accounting system is a key piece of our value proposition and we have ensured that it fully integrates with Successware Mobile.
Q:Can we use Successware Mobile to process credit card payments?

A:Technicians can see the last 10 jobs for a specific customer.

Q:Who are the finance providers that support Integrated Financing in Successware Mobile?
A:Our financial partner institutions supported through the mobile app are Ally Lending, GreenSky, and Synchrony. You can choose to work with one, two, or all three of these lending partners. Your business will need to have a merchant account with your selected lenders for them to be available in the Integrated Financing feature. If you already use one of these lenders, you might be eligible for better rates.
